Combined course Tour guide + Prague tour guide
Combined course is designed for future tour guides who will accompany tourists around the Czech Republic as well as in neighboring countries. The course content includes the study of history, geography, and tourist attractions, methodology.
The combined course of Tourist Guide and Prague Guide is the ideal choice for those who value both their time and money.
Course Program:
A variety of practical tasks and exercises that will prepare you for real-life situations as a guide. Rich content covering both theoretical preparation and practical training, including itinerary creation, tour simulations, and designing tourist routes. This course provides an efficient way to gain comprehensive guiding skills, while allowing you to start your career in tourism with in-depth knowledge of Prague, one of Europe’s major tourist destinations.
Classes are held in the evening, from 5:00 PM to 8:15 PM, three times a week.
New groups for the guide course are recruited every month. Our comfortable classrooms are located in the center of Prague, near Wenceslas Square (Blanická 28, Vinohrady, Prague 2). For those who do not live in Prague, we offer a remote study option, where all study materials are sent electronically to students' emails. Every two weeks, participants meet for consultations with teachers and take part in study trips with the current group. At the end of the course, each student will take a practical exam (individual tour) and a knowledge exam about the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course, you will take exams for professional qualifications: "Tourist Guide" (65-021-N) and "Prague Guide" (65-028-N), which are recognized as the highest qualification for guides in line with EU legislation.
This certification is valid within the EU in accordance with the current regulations of each member state (for specific conditions in each country, you need to inquire).
After successfully passing the exams, you can apply for the National Card of the second level, further enhancing your professional competence in the field of guiding.
Professional Exam fee:
- 2,000 CZK – first exam
- 2,000 CZK – 2nd atempt
- 4,500 CZK – self-study option
The requalification course can be reimbursed by the Employment Office. We cooperate with Employment Offices throughout the Czech Republic, allowing job seekers registered with the Employment Office to request reimbursement for the requalification course.

- Course content includes the study of the following subjects: Czech History, World History, Geography of the Czech Republic, Geography of the World, Psychology, Guiding, Tourism, Tourism Services, Economics and Law, and more.
Exam: The exam is designed based on the standards of the National Qualifications System and is conducted according to the qualification standard. The exam consists of a specialized part (test, practical, and oral exam) and a language part (language of your choice). If the participant has a language level corresponding to the European B2 standard or higher, they are exempt from the language exam. The exam is approved by the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic. The authorized person for conducting the professional qualification exam in the tourism sector is Mgr. Ilja Kocian (an employee of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic).
