Local Representative of a Travel Agency - Group Tour Leader. This qualification is designed for professionals in the tourism industry who handle organizational tasks and provide care for tourists, both domestically and internationally. Upon successful completion of the relevant course and exam, this qualification enables individuals to work as a delegate or tour leader, guiding and assisting groups in various countries around the world.

The certification ensures that individuals are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to handle all aspects of group tourism, including coordination of logistics, ensuring the comfort of travelers, assisting with excursions, and addressing any issues that may arise during the trip.

What are the responsibilities of a guide – travel agency delegate?

  • Meeting the group and accompanying tourists from the airport or train station;
  • Escorting transfers;
  • Morning collection of tourists for optional and other excursions;
  • Assisting tourists with hotel check-in;
  • Accompanying on optional and other excursions;
  • Accompanying tourists to other cities or countries.

How to master the new specialization?

To obtain the new qualification, you must complete the training in the course and successfully pass the required exam. Upon successful completion, you will receive a state diploma in professional qualification Local Representative of a Travel Agency (65-026-M), which grants you the right to accompany groups in any country worldwide.

Exam fees:

  • 1,000 CZK - first term for course graduates
  • 1,000 CZK - 2nd atempt exam
  • 4,500 CZK - self-study

The requalification course may be reimbursed by the Employment Office. We collaborate with Employment Offices across the Czech Republic for this purpose. Jobseekers registered with the Employment Office have the opportunity to request reimbursement for the requalification course from the specific Employment Office.

Exam

The exam is designed based on the standards of the National Qualification System and is conducted in accordance with the so-called qualification standard. The exam consists of a theoretical part (specialization test), practical exam, and oral exam. If the participant has a language proficiency level corresponding to European standards B2 or higher, they are exempt from the language exam. The exam is approved by the Ministry for Regional Development of the Czech Republic. The authorized person to conduct the professional qualification exam in tourism is Mgr. Ilja Kocian (employee of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic).
